My Story
I’m Peter Yellup, the practitioner behind PJY Therapies in Knipton, in the Vale of Belvoir. My journey into acupuncture began through my own experience of receiving treatment, which sparked a fascination with Traditional Chinese Medicine and its approach to health. I went on to study acupuncture at the University of Lincoln, graduating in 2009, and I’m a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC).
Sport and exercise have always played an important role in my life. From playing Australian Rules football and cricket to running and training in the gym, I understand how frustrating pain and injury can be. This personal interest, alongside my clinical experience, led me to develop my skills in sports massage therapy, musculoskeletal conditions and rehabilitation.
Over the years, I’ve developed an approach I describe as “East meets West”, combining the traditional principles of acupuncture with a practical understanding of anatomy, movement and recovery. Alongside acupuncture and remedial bodywork, my training in Reiki and other holistic therapies allows me to offer treatments that consider both physical health and wider wellbeing.
My aim is to provide personalised care in a calm, welcoming environment where you feel listened to, understood and involved in your treatment. Whether you’re seeking support with pain or injury, looking to return to an activity you enjoy, or simply wanting to focus on your wellbeing, we’ll work together towards what matters to you.
